Pinyon Pines Renovations

Before
The property was infested with rats and termites. The wood had never been treated or painted. It took about 60 gallons of paint to cover all of the buildings on the property. It took the owner about 3 years and a total budget of about $100,000.
After
The ground cover consists of about 11 tons of gravel and 10 truckloads of bark from a local quarry. 2 large boulders were brought in by crane and placed. All of the trees were trimmed and after 2 planted trees died the best one ended up being the Vitex tree also known as a lilac tree or monks pepper.
Before
It took four coats of high quality stain to finally cover the wood. The color is called Cappuccino and the trim is called Slate, both Behr stains from Home Depot.
After
Green Cloud sage in one of the few drought resistant plants that was able to survive the first round of planting. Fixtures throughout the property are copper finished to compliment the colors of the buildings.
Before
The rocks piled along the 50 plus feet of road frontage were distributed throughout the property creating pathways and seating areas to enjoy the views.
After
This small cabin was a cattleman's bunkhouse. The pepper tree shown here did not survive the cold and was replaced with a Vitex tree.
